Wedding dress disaster?

I decided to go try on wedding dresses yesterday! I went by myself because I just wanted to make it a quick trip. So I get there everything is good the boutique owner was sooo SWEET! As soon as I told her it was just me she was like "oh well we can take pictures so you can let your family see!" I just thought to myself you are friggin awesome!! F.Y.I. Every other bridal store I have been to have been adamant about not taking pictures or giving info about the dresses I'm trying on and she gave me both!! AWESOME right? If you live in the Fort Worth area I highly recommend visiting De Ma Fille Bridal!

I was the only one in the store and had the owners full attention so that was nice. And if the shop owner being so nice wasnt enough, I think I might have found a real contender to be THE DRESS! so I was a pretty happy camper as I was heading home...and then!! AND THENNNN there comes a moment that TOTALLLY ruins it!

So I'm driving home when a distracted young lady on a cell phone failed to yeild and decided to ram the side of my truck.........................................

"C'Mon!!! Did this REALLY just happen AGAIN!!"

It's funny how something like this can make you wonder "why the hell did I come over here in the first place!" and makes you not give a F that 3 seconds ago you were really happy you came.

It's pretty safe to say this totally ruined my mood. Now I get to do alot of fun stuff like dealing with my insurance and paying another $1000 because they can't get the other person's insurance to pay. Ugh. FML. Seriously. I'm trying to stay positive and think on the bright side because I really have no other choice. It seems every time I try to be proactive and get things done something bad has to happen so maybe I'll try a different approach.

Any words of encouragement?

Cakestand or no cakestand?

So as soon as I get on a computer after checking my email and wedding bee I get on craigslist to see if i can find any good deals on wedding decor. I found this 16 in cake stand for a pretty good price but I'm just not sure if it will be big enough for our cake. Our cake is supposed to be for like 350 people..I think? It's been a while since we did that contract but I know for sure it shouldnt but anymore than that. Do you all think this will be big enough to hold our cake? How big is the bottom layer on a cake for 350 people? Do you think the cakestand is worth it?

I wonder if anyone will actually respond....hmmm..

Ohh so you want to know about me?

So let's see if I'm any good at this blogging thing. Let's start with the basics, in case there is someone out there who is in desperate need to know more about me :)

 I'm a born and raised Texas Girl, who loves fashion, makeup, dancing some badass nortenas, and food!!

My parentals are probably the best people I know, which I know everyone says, but everyone else is lying because they just don't know my parents. My mom was also born and raised in Dallas, Texas and my dad is from a small town in Guanajuato, Mexico. Which makes me half Mexican AND half White, hence why i look hispanic and have a white name. 

                                    

 I have three sisters and one brother, who all tend to be a pain every once in a while (more like all the time), but hey I love them nonetheless.

I also have the most precious neice and nephew that will soon be the reason I go bankrupt (that's if this wedding planning doesn't do it first)

How FRIGGIN' cute are they??! Seriously?!

And on to my hubby! Yup, I said HUBBY! "Wait aren't you supposed to planning a wedding?"

About that...we are technically already married but we didnt get much of a wedding day first time around (details to come), so we are now planning the whole shabang for September 14, 2013! Thats one year away!! It may seem like a long time but let me tell you time FLYS when you're having fun... or just stressing over all the wedding details that never seem to finish and it all makes you want to pull your hair out....   0__o

Forreal though, wedding planning tends to get crazy so I'm hoping this blog will be kind of like my creative outlet and a way to get feedback from others so I don't bore my family and friends to death about things they think are pointless and maybe a way for me to get onto a certain blog that I may or may not stalk 24/7. Either way, let's get this show on the road!!!
